Texas Passes A Bill To Train Teachers As Armed Marshals

texas teachers marshals
Texas legislators have sent a bill to Governor Rick Perry that allows schools to train and maintain teachers as “armed marshals” on campuses.
The bill, which had already passed the Texas house, enjoyed a bipartisan passage of 28-3 in the Texas senate.

According to the Associated Press, the bill enjoyed the strong support of Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, who “pushed lawmakers to help school districts provide teachers or other employees with special weapons and tactical response training.” Dewhurst’s pleas were echoed by smaller school districts that could not afford to hire police and other security forces for their schools.

Under the bill, trained teachers would keep a firearm in a lockbox “within immediate reach.” It allows one armed marshal per 400 students and contains provisions to hide the name of that marshal from public record, to keep him or her from being purposefully targeted in an attack.

Teachers’ groups opposed the bill, arguing that protection ought to be left to security professionals. Yet because Texas already allows teachers to carry guns where school boards approve, the arguments against the bill did not prevail.

Senator Brian Birdwell (R) said the concern over law-abiding citizens possessing guns on campus is misdirected: “The Second Amendment is not about the gun, it’s about the right to self-preservation.”

WARNING: Students Who Force 3rd Grade Boys To Perform Oral Sex On Them Might Be Suspended for 10 Days!!!

homeschooler rights

So forcible oral rape of a 3rd grade boy in school isn’t a reason for criminal charges like forgetting and leaving your legally owned gun in the car after using it for target practice or exploding a pop bottle on school grounds when trying a science experiment.

Nope. Forcible oral rape of a minor in a public school gets you 10 days suspension… only a few days longer than the kid who accidentally ate his pop tart into the shape of a gun.

Meanwhile people who homeschool their children so that they don’t have to put up with all of the insanity are persecuted and considered terrorists by the government.

Makes total sense :/

Third Grade Boy Forced to Perform Oral Sex On Other Students

We all know that school systems are becoming worse and worse. From the unwarranted suspensions we’ve all heard of, to the fact that our testing scores hasn’t improved in 40 years. So this story doesn’t come as much of a surprise but I would recommend looking into alternatives if you haven’t already.

The 8-year-old boy was waiting in the hall after lunch, ready to attend his next class. Without warning, a fifth-grader and two third-graders grabbed the boy and, as he screamed futilely for help, dragged him into a bathroom stall. Once there, they pinned his arms behind his back, forced him to his knees, pulled down their pants, and demanded that he perform oral sex on him.

After what happened, the little boy was left in the bathroom and then went to his teacher to report what had happened. The teacher notified the principal who called the mother of the young boy and said, ““I don’t know how to explain this to you, but your son was in the bathroom and was forced to perform oral sex on three boys.”

This was not the first time that the fifth-grader had sexually assaulted someone. During the 2009-2010 school year, he touched a third-grade girl under her skirt. Charyn Koppelson, who was principal then, did nothing to discipline the boy.

After this incident the fifth grader was suspended for 10 days and the two others involved were given a 5 day suspension. It probably sounds like a vacation to these kids after such a heinous act.

Since the incident happened, the mother has filed a $6 million lawsuit against the State of New York’s Education System. She says, “He would wake up in the middle of the night screaming and crying. My son was a very joyful, loving little boy, and the next few weeks after that he would just sit down and stare at the wall. He never stepped foot inside that school ever again.”

We wish the family the best of luck both in the lawsuit and the recovery of the young boy. This should have never happened, and it is time we stop turning our children over to the state and pretending like they will be taken care of.

Prayer – Coming to a School Near You – But Only for Muslims

common sense

Obama’s new initiative to accommodate Muslims is now coming to fruition at at least one public school.

I can’t help but think that some people are missing the point here. This article says that some people are upset because they remember the institution as a “Christian” institution.

For one thing, quit labeling people into convenient groups and then labeling the institution in the name of the majority group. Isn’t that just collectivism? I thought that in the United States we focused on individual achievement and responsibility. Also, there’s no such thing as a “Christian institution” unless it specifies that it’s exclusively for Christians. If it isn’t intended for and  exclusive to Christians, it’s just a place where different groups of people go and the majority of them happen to claim the title of “Christian”. But anyway, now that I got that out of my system…

…Isn’t the point really that government facilities shouldn’t be catering to any religious preference? Should the school be a tool of religions and favor groups of one religion over groups of another religion? What would be wrong with the school just teaching things like Math and Science and other academics classes???

Muslim Prayer Coming to a School Near You

05/30/13

A high school near Washington DC has taken a rare step of accommodating Muslim prayer during class hours. Parkdale High School now allows a handful of its students to be excused to pray. The decision has made some Christian staffers “unhappy”.

Prince George County High School Principal Cheryl J. Logan said the initiative is in response to the “needs of the growing Muslim community,” the Washington Post reported. To be able to leave class each day all you need is a parental permission and high grades, Logan said. Currently, about 10 Muslim students have earned the right to pray, and are reportedly allowed eight minutes each day for a joint prayer on campus. Another high school student is working hard to raise his grades to join the group, all of whom belong to Muslim Students’ Association, Logan said. It is hoped that allowing prayer will motivate Muslim students to improve their overall school performance. The move has already upset several of the school’s Christian staffers, many of whom remember when the school was a Christian institution.
